Are you throwing away money? Did you know that Box Tops are worth 10 cents each? That doesn't sound like a lot, but one collection sheet of Box Tops is worth $2.50 or even $5.00! Each year, our school earns more than $1000 from Box Tops! So get ready for our October Box Tops Blitz! Read on below to find out what you need to know - especially if you've never even thought about Box Tops before! What are Box Tops?
Box Tops are coupons worth 10 cents each found on the packaging of hundreds of items. Schools can exchange the coupons for money that benefits the school. Visit the Box Tops 4 Education website to read all about the program. Where can I find Box Tops? Look for the coupon on the tops of boxes. You can check the participating products to see what you might already have on your shelves! What do I do with my Box Tops coupons? Before you toss your packaging, neatly cut the Box Top coupons off your boxes. Find a safe place to save them throughout the year until our school's Box Tops drives in the Fall or Spring. Check the expiration dates before you send them in. They DO expire, and we can't accept or send in expired Box Tops. How Do I send my Box Tops to school? Gather groups of 50 Box Tops into envelopes or ziptop bags labeled with the quantity (50). If you have extras, secure them together with a rubber band and a label with the number of Box Tops. You can even print a fun collection sheet and send them in all ready to go! Just tape or glue your Box Tops onto the page and send them in to school - this is a great project for kids to help with! Label your Box Tops with your student's teacher's name, and send them to school with your student, or drop them off in the office in the PTSA President's mailbox! The new MEPTSA Executive Board welcomes you to the new 2018-19 school year! We wanted to introduce ourselves here, but we're looking forward to meeting you at school, at a PTSA meeting, or at one of our events this year. We hope you'll say hello when you see us at school!
The ME PTSA had a lot of fun welcoming new kindergartners and their families this year with two new events. We hosted a kindergarten play date right before Open Hour so students could make new friends before finding their classrooms and desks and meeting their teachers. The kids loved getting familiar with the playground and each other, and parents had a chance to get introduced as well. We hope to do this again in the spring, when incoming kindergartners and their families visit ME for Kindergarten Orientation. Then, when kindergarten officially started on Monday, ME welcomed them with their own clap-in. ME PTSA hosted a "Boo-Hoo/Woo-Hoo Toast" for the parents, with bubbly sparkling cider and water. Kindergarten is a big milestone, and it can be just as exciting and emotional and scary for parents as it is for the little students. This was our first year hosting this fun event, and we look forward to doing it again next year. Cheers, kindergarten families! We are glad you're here at ME with us!
