PTSA
As we enter the final week of the 2024-2025 school year, we would like to take a moment to thank everyone for making it so wonderful! From our students and ME staff, to parents and volunteers, you have all made this a year to remember.

As you get ready for summer, please know how much we appreciated your support. Our year was successful because of this incredibly special school community, and we are so proud to be a part of it and to have represented the Mukilteo Elementary PTSA.

Wishing everyone an incredible summer full of sunshine, experiences, family, and friendship. We look forward to welcoming you to the 2025-2026 school season in the fall!

Sincerely,
Your PTSA Exec Board
Cara Mothersbaugh, Liberdie Ziska, Amanda Uphaus, Laura Berner, Nichole Merkle, and Alicia Taylor

Congratulations Isaac Coddington!

The Golden Acorn Award is Awarded to people who have given exemplary volunteer service to children and youth in our school and community. Nominees for this award include volunteers that meet the mission of the PTSA: To promote the health, welfare, safety and education of all children and youth in the home, school, and community.

We are honored to announce the recipient of the Golden Acorn Award for the 2024-2025 school year: Isaac Coddington!

Isaac was the Treasurer on PTSA Exec board for two years. As he transitioned off the Board at the beginning of this school year, he never stopped fully participating in the PTSA. He has helped with the transition of the new Board members and has stepped in to participate in many of the events at the school, including the Teacher Appreciation committee and co-chairing STEAM night. He is the person who always acknowledges other's help and shows up to meetings with food. which then allows everyone else who is participating in PTSA to relax, engage, and get to know each other. His willingness to help when needed and his kindness has truly enhanced the school community that the PTSA strives to build.

ME Outdoor Classroom - Amazon Book Wishlist

Picture
ME PTSA has partnered with Mrs. Edwards to help build a collection of outdoor reading resources for our Nature Guide volunteers and our students.

Together, we have thoughtfully curated a wishlist of both fiction and non-fiction to enhance our students' connection with the ME Outdoor Classroom and Garden and resources to inspire our Nature Guides in their Outdoor Classroom leadership experience. Remember, Nature Guides and the Outdoor Classroom experience is made entirely possible through volunteer efforts by our teachers, families, and community supporters.  We would love to see this collection grow, but it won't without your generous support!

If you would like to purchase a nature book for our library, please follow the link to our Amazon Wishlist!  We appreciate your support.

Food for Thought Donations

Picture
Food For Thought is a donation driven program, and has helped provide students in need with classroom snacks for the past 5 years! Snacking in a healthy way improves energy levels and mental clarity.  Smart snacking can assist in maintaining your blood sugar levels throughout the day.

If you would like to help donate to the cause, please bring snacks to the front office any time. Thank you for supporting this program and ensuring our students in need have an available snack!

Packs for Kids Donations

Picture
Packs for Kids provides a food supplement for children and families living in food-insecure households. Each Friday, students receive a bag filled of non-perishable food to support their families food needs through the weekend.

Your donation to the ME PTSA helps provide grant funding to this program. Packs For Kids is also always happy to receive donations of nutritious, shelf-stable food items.

Thank You, Educators, for All You Do!
