Sept. 11: Kindergarten Clap-In

All Kindergarten families and supporters are invited to the Kindergarten Clap-In and Boo Hoo/Woo Hoo gathering on Friday, September 11, at 9:15 a.m.
Family members will gather near the primary playground to clap for our newest students to welcome them to Mukilteo Elementary and wish them a great year of learning and growth. The ME PTSA will have coffee, treats, and tissues for any grown-ups who need them. |
Sept. 17: Pizza Fundraiser & BINGO Social

Mark your calendars for a MOD Pizza fundraiser to support the ME PTSA and the Back-to-School BINGO Social on Thursday, September 17.
MOD Pizza will be donating 25% of sales to the ME PTSA.
After you pick up pizzas for dinner, head to the gym for the BINGO Social at 6:30 p.m. BINGO is free and fun for the whole family! Please note that there will not be pizza available at school. Families can pick up dinner at MOD and bring it with them to BINGO Night, or eat dinner before BINGO. |

Art Docent and Nature Guide Sign-Ups

Sign up to volunteer for your student's classroom as an Art Docent or Nature Guide this year! These two programs are supported by the ME PTSA and run by volunteers who help bring art and nature education to our students.

Auction Tickets Are Now Available!

Join us for the ME PTSA Auction on November 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Rosehill Community Center for a fun-filled tailgate-style night that directly supports our students!
The evening will include a raffle, silent auction, live auction, and plenty of tailgate-inspired fun. Tickets are now available, and include event admission, an assigned seat, dinner, and a drink. Sept. 21: First PTSA Meeting of the School Year

The first PTSA meeting of the school year is on Monday, September 21, at 6:30 p.m. It will be held both in-person in the ME Library and virtually, and all are welcome to attend. If you plan to join virtually, email [email protected] for the link.

Sept. 24: Menchie's Fundraiser

If you could use a sweet treat after the first few weeks of school, visit the Lynnwood Menchie's on Thursday, September 24, and support the ME PTSA at the same time.

Open Volunteer Positions
|
The ME PTSA provides many different ways to get involved in supporting our school community, and we're always looking for volunteers who'd like to help! We're still looking for a volunteer who can take on the Treasurer role on our ME PTSA Executive Committee for this year. The Treasurer is a key member of our team, and the role would be a great fit for someone with experience in banking, finance or bookkeeping. Training is available!
We're also looking for volunteers who can help plan some of this year's events, including Multicultural Night, the spring Talent Show and the end-of-year Carnival. If you're interested in the Treasurer role, helping with one of this year's events, or are looking for another way to get involved, let us know by emailing [email protected]. |

Support Packs for Kids
|
The ME PTSA provides grant funding for Packs for Kids, a program that provides a food supplement for children and families living in food-insecure households. Each Friday, students receive a bag of non-perishable food to support their family's food needs through the weekend.
The program is run by a group of student leaders who organize, inventory, and pack food bags weekly. Learn more about Packs for Kids or make a donation to support the program. |

Food for Thought Donations

Food For Thought is a donation-driven program that has helped provide students in need with classroom snacks for the past 7 years! Snacking in a healthy way improves energy levels and mental clarity. Smart snacking can assist in maintaining your blood sugar levels throughout the day.
If you would like to help, make a donation to support Food for Thought or bring snacks to the front office. Thank you for supporting this program and ensuring our students in need have an available snack! |

ME PTSA has partnered with Mrs. Edwards to help build a collection of outdoor reading resources for our Nature Guide volunteers and our students.
Together, we have thoughtfully curated a wishlist of both fiction and non-fiction to enhance our students' connection with the ME Outdoor Classroom and Garden and resources to inspire our Nature Guides in their Outdoor Classroom leadership experience. Remember, Nature Guides and the Outdoor Classroom experience is made entirely possible through volunteer efforts by our teachers, families, and community supporters.
